Unless you’re living under a rock, you probably know Earth Day is this Sunday. To be honest, I’m am becoming increasingly more concerned about the environment but know very little about sustainable or organic clothing.
An onslaught of stores are promoting their “new” organic collection this spring.
One of the Canadian forerunners in organic fashions is Lululemon (before they changed their name to Lululemon Athletica.)
In 2005, they launched a new clothing line: oqoqo (pronounced oh-ko-ko). Every garment in the line is at made from at least 75% natural, organic or sustainable materials (i.e. bamboo, hemp, organic cotton or soy.)
oqoqo clothing is available either at stores by the same name or at some Lululemon Athletica locations. Prices start around $50 for tops and go up to $200 for jackets.
My wish this week is to get some cool oqoqo clothing, information about organic clothing and why wearing it will help the environment.
Share your knowledge, leave a comment and help make the world a better place.
