What do you think of the new masthead?
I’ve been playing around a bit tonight and designed a new masthead for the blog. I wanted to make a bit more of a statement. What do you think? Be honest.
Over the next little while, I may make other changes depending on how creative I’m feeling. I’d love to know what you think. So speak up, don’t be shy!

Eden - I love the layout and masthead, but I'm not a fan of that particular shade of pink. (Ironic, I know, my own blog is pink.) How attached are you to the pink? Would you consider other colours? How about green - it is the colour of money, they say. ;)
ReplyDeleteHenna, Thanks for your comment and glad you like the masthead. I've had some positive e-mail comments too.
ReplyDeleteYou have an interesting point about green being the colour of money. It's also the colour of the green movement and used in most environmental websites and blogs. There's also someone with a similar-named blog (despite my legally trademarked one) who is using green so I'd prefer staying away from that colour.
Hey! Im new to this website.. and I really like it all.. pink is my fav colour.. so may be a bit bias!!
ReplyDeleteMegan :)
Megan, Thanks so much for stopping by. Glad you like Bargainista (and all the pink). I hope you'll continue visiting and participating in the community.
ReplyDeleteHi Bargainista:
ReplyDeleteI like the font, but think perhaps it is a bit too big of a masthead, taking up slightly too much real estate.
On the colour front, adding a little bit of one more colour into the lettering, perhaps based on your icon, would make it a little less pink and give it some punch. Perhaps a subtle orange stripe?
Cheers!
Connista
Connista - I like that. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your suggestions too! I'll play around a bit and see what happens. Stay tuned.
