Now you can rate my posts

You may have noticed a funny looking icon at the bottom of each post. I've added a widget called ClickComments. It's a simple rating tool you can click on to tell me if you like my post or not. If you're in a hurry you can share your opinion without having to leave a comment - although I always prefer comments. ; ) I'm trying it out. Let me know what you think. Rate this post or leave a comment.

Thanks geekgirl for the tip.

  1. Neat idea, but it took a while for it to pop up and I would have come and gone before I saw it if you hadn't mentioned it was there. I am using wireless in a coffee shop, so possibly it would be faster viewing it from home. Will let you know as I access your blog from other locations.

    Cheers!

  2. Connie, thanks so much for letting me know and yes, I am curious to learn how it works for you at home too.

Other readers, please let me know about your experience with this new feature.

    Happy shopping!

  3. From home: first attempt I waited 3 minutes but it seemed to be hung up. Second and third attempts it took about 7 seconds to load. I think it may just be because it gets loaded after everything else--flickr photos, google search and any stats you have. If it gets hung up loading any of those, this takes longer to appear.

I am working on a macbook via wireless. Will try it from the office with a different set up.

    Cheers!

  4. From the office, Windows PC, Internet Explorer and network - it was faster. About 12 seconds to open up the first time; about 1 second to open up the next time I open the page.

(I was using Firefox from home by the way).

Probably not a big deal--it does not affect the look of the page when it is not open, and doesn't seem to slow down the rest of the page loading in.

    Cheers,
    Connie

  5. Thanks so much for testing this like crazy. I think I'll keep this widget for now and see if readers are finding it useful.
