Social Media Goes to College at Social Capital Conference

Social Capital Conference is taking place in Ottawa May 31 and June 1. It’s an event I’ve always oogled over but never been able to attend due to a recurring scheduling conflict. Three times lucky they say because this year they moved it up a month. I’ll be there, not only as an attendee but also as a speaker. Diane Bégin, Susan Murphy, Martin Waxman and yours truly are presenting “Social Media Goes to College” – a panel discussion based on the session we tested out at PodCamp Toronto last February.

Day One consists of a choice of two half-day workshops and Day Two there are several sessions and roundtable discussions to choose from. The day will bookended with two keynote presentations – the first with the one and only Gini Dietrich kicking things off in the with “Blogging, Community, and Making it Work,” and the second from Danny Brown discussing “Blogging, Community, and Making it Work” will bring the conference to a close.

Big thanks to conference co-chairs and business partners Lara Wellman and Karen Wilson, and the rest of the organizing team for all the hard work they’ve been doing ensuring the weekend will be a phenomenal success.

I hope to see you there but if you can’t make it, you can follow along on Twitter by searching for the #SoCapOtt hashtag.

  2. Me neither! And... I get to see you too! You can tell me if macaroons are as good here as the ones you brought home from Paris.
