I'm a huge Starbucks fan. I’m not entirely brand loyal but I do need my decaf Starbucks every morning whether it’s VIA or freshly brewed. Sometimes I’ll even splurge for skinny lattes with one-pump sugar-free vanilla syrup. No snickering!

ReplyDeleteHi Kim, Yes I've noticed that too. We've come to expect those types of notifications to come to us in real time (or close to real time) and companies don't always work that way.
DeleteWhat struck me about Starbucks' birthday email is their claim, "We'd never miss a birthday..." and yet the email arrived the evening after my birthday. Maybe they should follow some other companies that send birthday emails a week or so before a customer's actual birthday. Either that, or consider changing their message.
For the record, I'm not ungrateful about getting a free treat from Starbucks.
